I remember the first cat we rescued. We snuck it upstairs to my bedroom and didn't let my mom know about it. This was when I first met an animal that was my animal. Tigger was with me from middle school until after high school. She was the kind of cat that was a bit standoffish until she knew I needed her and then she was right next to me snuggling and licking the tears from my face. She was the first pet I really remember losing. Also, if you haven't checked out the cat cafe in fountain square, they have cat themed stuff but also adopt cats for the humane society so you can o in and snuggle them as well.
